I live in the UK in Sheffield with my partner Matthew. Sheffield is famous for the film 'The Full Monty' and for producing cutlery. It should be famous for lovely people, lots of parks and being on the edge of the Peak district.

Tarot reading

I have always been interested in spirituality and fortune telling. When I was at university, many years ago, studying archaeology, I went away for a week to Glastonbury - a famous hippy town in the UK. Whilst there I bought myself some tarot cards.

I began to do readings, often at parties, for my friends. I thought it would be fun. It was but it also became clear pretty quickly that there was something more going on.

Specific friends kept getting the same cards, often picture cards denoting men that they were interested in. After a year or so things I had predicted started coming true. It was at this time I told a friend of mine that she would marry a man she had just broken up with. She refused to even entertain the possibility and we made a bet of £10. On her wedding day she made a speech and paid me the £10. Now she has two beautiful children with the man she hated!

To be honest I found this all a bit scary! If I could really predict the future then I must bear a great responsibililty. It made me take it much more seriously.

Over the following years I saw people change the future that I had predicted. The near events happened as I had said but their reactions were different, sometimes because of the reading they had received from me. The outcomes I had predicted changed because they acted differently. I realised that the future is a fluid thing dependent on how you react to it. I also saw how useful the tarot could be in outlining the choices before us.

About seven years ago I met a man who was a Scottish witch. Scottish witchcraft is not recorded in any books but is passed down from family member to family member. He taught me about his form of witchcraft and also how to develop my psychic senses. 

My tarot reading skills increased massively! He also encouraged me to start a tarot reading business. He would say why not make a living from what you are best at? Why be a school teacher, for example, to earn enough money to live when really you are a psychic tarot reader?

I started the business and am happy doing what I am best at. Hence the name of the website: Talented Tarot.
